Unexpected Blessings!

Well just as the title says.. its been an unexpected ride.  Good and bad thing thrown our way but overall we are all very thankful.

Its been almost a year since I last blogged anything on here and I regret not doing anything sooner! Honestly, it probably has mostly to do with the fact that I recently discovered I cant stick to one thing for too long.  I have a syndrome called.. BOREDOM.  Yes, it prevents me from staying interested in anything for too long.. then one day I decide I feel like doing it again.  Good for some things but bad for so many others.. you can only imagine! lol

Well, the last time I wrote I was fighting super anxieties for my first time being at college! I know.. I didnt actually write about it! Thats because I was so busy hiding it! lol  Since then, I actually went to school and overcame my fear of human beings and decided it was time to grow up.  Im proud of myself! I did two semesters in college and I did surprisingly well! Math still isnt my strong suite but I'm fighting through that..

We are now living in Virginia! I know what your thinking.. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?  LOL Well it wasnt overnight let me tell you.  It took a lot of planning and deciding and over thinking, but after a while we decided it was time for a change.  My husband took the Police Department exams and passed! So he's on a waiting list for the Police Academy for Danville, VA.  While we wait.. we are sitting ducks. JUST KIDDING. We are keeping busy working regular jobs and relocating to a new place.

My oldest baby girl stayed behind.. probably the hardest thing I ever had to do.  We left her in very good hands with her grandmother and auntie back in New Jersey.  She is finishing up kindergarten and then coming to live with us here in Danville.  As much as I tried to ask if they would let her out of the school year and come stay with us they wouldn't let her.  They said if she left with me she wouldnt make graduation and wouldn't pass kindergarten.  I was so heartbroken.  So we made a difficult decision..  However, we are very excited to see her in a few weeks! We are coming to see her for her graduation and we are trying to make this experience as fun as possible.  Weve been Skyping with her, calling her as often as possible and we even bought her graduation dress from Etsy.com! She LOVES packages almost as much as her mommy does! She understands its like a little bit of Christmas in the mail! lol.  When I told her she was so jubilant! It made me feel so great that we could still make her happy even though we are so far away.

So as far as this move.. its turned out pretty stressful ! Ive been trying not to think about it and stick to more positive things in the immediate future to distract me but its been difficult.  Money, packing, not packing, throwing things away in time, giving things away, forgetting stuff, not forgetting stuff, etc.. etc.. etc.. AY YA YAI! For now all I really would like to do is forget..

On a better  note.. God willing.. I start school in September and I'm euphoric ! The more I do, the more I feel like i can check off my list! Slowly but surely, Ill get there.  Now all I need to do is loose 30lbs.. learn ballet... and play the violin in an orchestra! Riiight... lol.

Better late than never!

First most I would like to apologize for not writing in so long!  Its been really busy around here.  My husband has just got his license as a security officer and is in transition between jobs.  He starts on Wednesday and I am very excited for him!  Ive been working on a few DIY projects around the house, nothing huge.  Ive also been spending most of my spare time on Google and Pinterest trying to find some good inspiration for my daughter's 5th birthday party.

So far ive finished the invitations and Im very happy with how they turned out!  We decided on a ballerina themed party, so lets see how it turns out.  I have a few ideas but nothing official yet.  The party is in September, so I still have some time.  Ill be making my own pinata too so Im working on some ideas on how im going to approach that project.  I found a really nice pinata online so if worse comes to worse we could default to that but its the base of my inspiration right now.
Personally I wouldnt really want to pay for something that I could probably do myself.  I found this kind of expensive if you include the shipping and then all the candy that it would take to fill it.

Ill post pictures of my inspirations soon.  Ive also found this great website that has helped me work on cupcake toppers and other party printables for free.  Ill post more information about it soon along with the pictures.  But thanks to that, Im almost done with all the printables! :)

Things to think about

Well although today was a pretty normal day, I still have so much going on in my mind I can barely decide what is more important.  Our families birthday's are all jam-packed into the end of the year.  My husband is the first one in the party parade, on August 22.  My oldest daughter is next on September 29th.  Then comes my baby on November 10th, and finally myself on December 2nd.. All mixed in with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

As you can see, on New Years we have our bankruptcy celebration and finally sit down for the first time to take a deep looong breath!! lol

So I have all these birthday's to plan and make cakes for! Its chaos in this house around this time of year (or maybe it is just for me?)

My husband and I try to talk and plan thing through a little early.  We discuss funding and themes, but never really decide anything until last minute.  That always turns out to be very stressful! So this year, Im going for a more organized approach.  Im also going to try to go for a more "homemade" party.  I think it gives more originality as well as a litmitless-ness to the amount of creativity that can be put into a party (not to mention money saved).  Im going to try to do my research and try to cut corners that can be cut and save some money! :)

Lets see what I can come up with and how much it amounts to! God help me! lol :)

On another note, theres alot of stuff going on with my daughter's "new" school that are stressing me out .  I believe everything happens for a reason and God has a purpose for every single thing that happens in our lives (good or bad) and those things will lead us to better things.  Im always happy to see things get interesting because I feel like its the end of something old and the beginning of something new.  Although I dont always remember that in the most difficult moments.  But I'm very thankful to God for everything he permits in our lives because I know He is in control and I trust Him.  Im excited to see where this is going and what new people and things we will get to see in the next chapter of our lives.
